This not only will explore in depth the vast world of matte painting, but it will also analyse all the dos and don’ts in the architectural visualisation industry. It will teach you all about the creative importance of Matte painting and its advantages when compared to a pure 3D workflow. This is the space where architecture and concept art meet.

Learn from the professionals behind one of the studios most well known for its postproduction and matte painting approach - Arqui9.

Learn the tips and secrets that will turn your images into kickass creations with this comprehensive and practical approach, divided in 2 parts: a first learn at your own rhythm phase combined with a live review and critique of the students’ works and learnings. Because there is no better way to learn than to practice and to get direct feedback from your lecturers, which we are also happy to announce, are Pedro and Timon from the Arqui9 team.

We thought long and hard on the best way to learn. We came to the conclusion that a hybrid model would always work best, with a learn at your own rhythm approach, followed by a live review with the mentor correcting your weeks work and exercises. This means you will always have time to relisten or review what you may have missed. Each week we will choose a few of the most representative to oversketch and review and reveal additional techniques

professional review of the weeks exercises.

Each week there is a set exercise to enable you to practice the set subject and make it your own, understanding and interpreting the weeks subject. We find this to also be the best form of teaching and have done it for years successfully in the office.
